- I upgraded my A600 by adding a small hard drive and had a lot of problems.
- So here are a few things you need to know
- First only a 2.5 inch drive will fit inside, you can use 3.5inch drives
- but you will have to get a cable adaptor (as the connectors are not the
- same size) and somehow rig a box or something for the drive. Also The ide
- cable must be short.
- Your amiga must have kickstart version 37.3 or better.
- Finally you will need some software to configure the disk. Something like
- HDprep, or HDtoolkit or something.
- If you have these just plug the drive in and turn on. Run the HD prep
- software and and then just reboot and format the drive (all of its
- partitions) just like any floppy.
